The Athletics bats came alive tonight pounding
out 11 hits for 10 runs in the first two innings punctuated by Ryan's 3 run
homer. Tyler W, Ryan and James B combined to strike out 14 Red Sox.
The Red Sox made it interesting allowing only 1 more run over the final four
innings.. Devon came on in the second and settled in retiring 10 of the final 12
batters he faced. The Red Sox scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th to bring
the final score to 11-9.
