In Game One of the Senior All-Star Tournament Concord American faced off with East County in a nail-biter.  CALL jumped out on top with Matt Trombley's lead-off single and Ryan Garcia on by error.  Matt Andreoli singled scoring the two.  CALL's pitcher, Chris Fehlman, held ECLL through 2 full innings, but gave up 2 singles and a walk in the 3rd, which would eventually score.  After 3 full ECLL led 3 to 2.

With no runs in the 4th ECLL's Stuart McMahon singled and scored on a triple by Anthony Vega, making the score ECLL 4 and CALL 2.  But CALL answered back in the top of the 6th with Chris Collins, Justin Stoops, and Chris Fehlman on the bases were loaded.  Clint Eklund came up with a clinch 2-out, base-clearing double.

CALL didn't score anymore, but ECLL had one more chance in the bottom of the 7th.  ECLL had runners on 1st and 2nd when ECLL's Charlie Baker hit a single to center.  The runner on 2nd tried to score, when CALL's centerfielder, Ryan Garcia, threw a shot home getting out the runner for the 2nd out in the inning.  CALL's pitcher, Matt Trobley finished up the game by striking out ECLL's #4 batter with runners on 2nd & 3rd.  The final - Concord American 5 - East County 4.

Concord will play on Friday, 7/12/02 at Concord High @ 6 pm.
