This
was both teams first game of the season. John York came in after Philip
Haigh had a few first game jitters and pitched three innings of no-hit
baseball. Giving up only 2 walks and hit batter against 9 strikeouts in
those 3 innings. Bobby Schmidt led the way for the Reds on
the
offensive side by slamming a 2-run triple to right field and then coming
back up and knocking in another run with a basehit up the middle.
The
Rangers scored the first three runs of the game and tried to keep the game
close. Good Luck to the Rangers the rest of the season.
