In an exciting game that saw the lead change four times, the Diamondbacks held on for a 14-11 win over the Cardinals in five innings. With the D-backs trailing 10-9 in the top of the fifth with the bases loaded and two out, Brandon Peterson knocked a line drive single into center field to drive in two.
The
D-backs added three more and Peterson held the Cards to just one run over
the last three innings to get the victory. He led the D-backs offense with
two singles, four RBI's, and four runs scored. Ryan Nordlie, Devin McNally,
and Ryan Courtney scored two runs each for the D-backs. Elijah Bryan led
the Cardinals with a single, triple, four RBI's, and two runs scored.
