The Diamondbacks scored early and held on for a 19-8 victory over the Cardinals. Fine pitching performances were turned in by Justin Baumgartner, Kevin Graham, and Brandon Peterson as they combined to strike out eleven and walk only four batters for the D-backs. Devin McNally and Peterson led the D-backs with two hits each as Blake Sheehan and Elijah Bryan had two hits also for the Cardinals.
