In
a continuing series of close games between these two teams, the Diamondbacks
came back in the last inning to defeat the Rangers 16-12. The game saw
the lead change four times as the Rangers took a 12-9 lead into the last
inning.But, the D-backs rallied for seven runs in the top half and Brandon
Peterson held the Rangers scoreless in the bottom to get the D-backs' victory.
Devin McNally smoked a line drive into left-center field that went for
an inside-the-park home run for the D-backs. Ryan Nordlie added a single
and a triple, Brandon Kearney had two doubles, and Peterson contributed
two doubles and a triple for the Diamondbacks. Michael Stigamire and Dustin
Cooper had two singles each to lead the Rangers' offense.
