The Yankees jumped out early and scored 4 runs in the top of the 1st inning on singles by James & Brandon, Alex getting hit with a pitch, a triple by Austin & a sac-fly by Sophia.  In the top of the 2nd River lead off with a triple & scored on Alex's triple.

In the bottom of the 4th the Cardinals scored on consecutive singles by Joey, Kevin & Bradley.
In the top of the 5th the Yankees scored 2 more runs on a double and consecutive walks to Ammiel, Ryan, Martin & Jessica.

In the bottom of the 5th Alex Bravo walked for the Cards and went to second on a wild pitch. He scored when Russel hit a single to right and got into a pickle for the out.

In the 6th the Yankees scratched out a run when James bunted for a base hit a stole second base. Alex bunted him over to third and he scored on a wild pitch.  In the Card's half of the 6th Aaron singled and scored on Bradley's double.

Great game pitching from Brandon Oswald who pitched 4 2/3 innings giving up 5 hits & striking out 3 batters. Alex Bates came in and pitched the last 1 1/3 innings giving up 2 hits while striking out 3 batters also.
