Rangers vs Mets  - March 31, 2007

In what could be described as a "wild ballgame," the Mets came from behind in the bottom of the sixth to beat the Rangers 16-15.

The Rangers got the scoring started early with three in the first on a laser line drive three-run homer over the left field fence by Logan Bangert. The Rangers scored four more in the second to go up 7-0.

The Mets answered with two in the bottom half and five more in the third to tie it at seven. The Rangers came right back with five runs in the fourth to go up 12-7. Each team scored a few more runs with the Rangers taking a 15-11 lead to the bottom of the sixth.

The Mets got started with a single by Ricky Montoya, a walk to Joel Dodenhoff, and a big pinch hit triple by Michael Kelly to make it 15-13. Will Bonnington followed with a double and after a pop out, Weston Peters-Ring came thru with a single, putting runners at first and third. Brandon Peterson came up and singled home Bonnington with the tying run. Christian Destefano followed with a single to load the bases for Zachary Foy. After working to a full count, Zach delivered a game winning single to right-center.

Both teams played hard and it was a tough one to lose for either. Will Bonnington led the Mets with three singles and a double with three RBI's and three runs scored.Brandon Peterson had four singles and three runs scored, Weston Peters-Ring had three singles and hits were added by Christian Destefano, Joel Dodenhoff, Grant Ganguet, and Daniel Lopez.

For the Rangers, Jose Maravillo had three singles and scored four times, and Brandon Kearney had two singles and scored twice, and Eduardo Zaragoza had a double and single.
