The A's and Mets finally met again, for the first time since the first game of the new season, with the Mets avenging an earlier defeat by the score of 14-5. Zach Foy pitched very well for five innings after reaching his pitch count, striking out six, allowing no walks, and giving up six hits. The A's, without an injured Nic Bob, used a combination of pitchers to thwart the Mets offense.
The game was tied in the top of the 4th, 4-4, when the Mets erupted for eight runs, five coming with two outs on a bases loaded double by Brandon Peterson, which was followed by a three run Home Run to center field by Zach Foy. Others adding to the Mets offense were Ricky Montoya; a double, two singles and five RBI's, Andrew Robles, two singles, Will Bonnington, double and two runs, and singles by Weston Peters-Ring, Daniel Lopez, and Christian Destefano.
For the A's, Quincy Conn had a double, single and three
RBI's, James Brekle had a double, two singles, and scored twice, Sam Lord
singled twice with an RBI, and Luis Rojas singled and scored a run.
