The Mets came back from a 4-0 deficit to score five runs in the bottom of the sixth to defeat the A's 5-4. Pitcher Nic Bob of the A's was dominant against the Mets, allowing only a fourth inning single to Zachary Foy and striking out 13. Foy pitched just as well, striking out nine and giving up just three singles and several unearned runs. But Bob reached his pitch count and forced his removal from the game in the fifth.
The Mets scored on four walks, clutch singles by Daniel
Lopez and Andrew Robles and two fielder's choice plays that went against the A's
to end the game. Will Bonnington threw two pitches in the top of the sixth to
get the last out against the A's, and was rewarded the pitching victory. Bob,
Quincy Conn, and Sam Lord all singled and scored for the A's.
