CONCORD AMERICAN LITTLE LEAGUE
MINUTES FROM BOARD MEETING ON FEBRUARY 20, 2003
HELD AT CONCORD HIGH SCHOOL, ROOM 210

In attendance: Mark Lloyd, Chuck Davidson, Jim Bouquin, Jack Mayberry, Jeff Edmondson, Kellie Bewley, Bob Morales, Wayne Horvot, Tom Parisi, Mary Bishop, Kathy Sheehan, Dick Stoddard, Dawn Haigh, Jeff Haigh, Ken Colombo, Chris Sheehan, Phil Peterson

Minutes from February 6th were approved.

Bob finished safety manual, great job Bob!!!

T.O.C. and All star teams were discussed: teams will be, baseball 11/12 boys, 9/10 boys, softball girls, Jr. baseball boys, and majors.

March 1st Advanced Field Clinic, Mike, Bob and Wayne will attend.

All Star announcements will be made on June 15th; Baseball closing day will be June 14th.

T-ball managers were approved. Following is a list with team names:
Mark Prosser-T-ball Giants
Jack Mayberry-T-ball A’s
Tom Parisi-T-ball Mets
Brad Grier-T-ball Mariners
Ben Feldman-T-ball Brewers
Emmett Harvey-T-ball Yankees
Robert Moody-Team name undecided

Chris Sheehan gave out the game schedules as follows:
Majors-each team will have 20 games, 3-3 game weeks, 5 double headers (1 for each team), will have 1 weekend off. Tabled until next meeting on 3/6

AAA and AA: 20 games, 3-3 game weeks, 1 team has 2-3 game weeks, and 1 team has 1 weekend off. Approved and passed.

Player updates: Vincent Latini was moved up to AAA.

A to AA: 2 kids were moved up.

Ken Bangert might be losing a player.

A schedule: 1st half will be instructional (10 games)
2 game weeks only, 2nd half 8 games. Approved and passed.

Kathy-Tues. February 25th at 7pm will be the team mom safety meeting at Eldorado Middle School. 7:00 Dr. Jason Copping will give a talk and at 7:30 Jack from Alpine awards will talk and show new trophies for the season.
We will have a Home Run Derby on Opening Day; April 27th will be Little League Day with the A’s. Fundraisers are as follows: See’s Candy, Coupon Books, Cookie Dough and Tommy T’s night.

We need 20 more team sponsors and the ones that we have did not turn in their forms yet.

Complex security-lost 2 sets of bleachers by major field. Mark found 3 stolen brief cases on the fields. Mike bought 2 new locks for the snack shack at $35 each. Need 3-4 more to replace last years. 100 sets of keys need to be made. Mike would like to get combo locks which run around $25 a piece. We spent $300-$400 in keys last year.

A motion was put on the floor for managers to pay a deposit for keys and equipment and if all is returned at end of season, they will get their money back.

We need combo locks for all score booths.

Mike will speak to Dolan’s Lumber about a sponsorship in trade for merchandise.

Mike replaced the rototiller that was stolen.

Jr. baseball schedule will be out next week. They have 24 games and will start 1 week before Opening Day.
