MINUTES FROM BOARD MEETING ON March 18, 2004
HELD AT CONCORD HIGH SCHOOL, ROOM 210
In Attendance: Mark Lloyd, Chris and Kathy Sheehan, Chris Oswald, Dannette Ruger, Jason Blick, Dean Hollenbeck, Cory Cooper, Jeff Bryan, Joe Bravo, Phil Peterson, Ken Bangert, Jeff Edmondson, Dave McMurdo, Bob Morales, Jim Bouquin, Steve Schmidt, Mike Prawicki
Little League patches for uniforms on backorder – will pass out when they arrive
Saturday we need help with clean up at the Mt Diablo fields
National Hit & Run competition April 1st thru May 15 – Jeff Bryan to head up
Jeff Edmondson is still working on the scheduling for softball. Majors are done, minors are having trouble. Juniors okay, Clayton Valley scheduled game for opening day, they are having game rescheduled.
The key lock on Farm shed needs to be replaced with combo lock. Chris Oswald will take care of this.
Mark Lloyd asked what games we want for TOC – consensus was to have as many as possible. Older kids a preference.
Chris Sheehan presented rules for Minor division. Bat the whole lineup with a 5 run rule. Motion made by Chris Sheehan, seconded by Jeff Edmondson, approved.
Jim Bouquin made motion for
mandatory play was 3 innings per game in a 6 inning game, 2 innings mandatory
for a 4 inning game. Mandatory play rule for major of increasing
from 6 outs to 9 outs defense – Motion was passed in the Minor Division,
tabled for Major Division pending an emergency board meeting to be held
at later date.
Mark Lloyd is meeting with
Milt regarding girl’s softball games playing on our fields.
Discussion held on two coaches being on baseline. Yes, however, one coach must always be in dugout.
Kathy Sheehan reported that opening day is under way. Roster book was to be ready for opening day, but based on the player movement, it was decided to hold off for a couple weeks until players settled. Need all board and volunteers to help on Friday night for opening day. Happy to announce we have received sponsors for all teams.
