MINUTES FROM BOARD MEETING ON April 3, 2003
HELD AT CONCORD HIGH SCHOOL, ROOM 210

Opening Day was a great success,

Need all rosters ASAP for submission to Little League.
Some games need to be continued due to rainouts and or darkness. All managers need to keep their own scorebooks.
7 run rule in AAA until last inning-games are not official until 4 innings are completed.
Steve Casillas and Jim Bouquin need to decide about their game, to start over or to continue from where it was left off.
TOC (1st place teams) do not play in the tournament games, which gives other teams a chance for trophies.
A lot of time being wasted waiting for catchers to come out of the dugout while the pitcher needs warming up. Manager/Coach cannot be catching in the bullpen, has to be players warming up the pitcher.
AAA Giants and Angels will continue their game, as it is hard to read the official scorebook to see what the score in the game was.
Need to do another scorekeeping clinic. Make sure the umpires know the rules of the game.
Motion passed, age limit on base umpiring for A-AAA divisions is 12-14 year olds. A clinic will be held to give instruction to those interested. Juniors can base coach at Major games as well.
Managers need to be aware of how to bring discrepancies to umpires. Set a good example for your players and others watching. You must respect the umpire at all times. Same umpire and same crew need to come out for continued games. These games should be played on a Saturday.
Finances will be continued to the next meeting.
$551.00 was paid for the stolen rototiller at the Mt. Diablo fields. Waiting on reimbursement for the stolen bleachers. Evaluate moving bleachers to the AA fields.
Sponsor signs need to be put up on Saturday morning by managers at their fields.
All teams have sponsors except
for 1 junior team and 1 senior team.
