LITTLE LEAGUE
MINUTES FROM BOARD MEETING
ON OCTOBER 3, 2002
HELD AT CONCORD HIGH
SCHOOL, ROOM 210
In Attendance: Mark Lloyd,
Mary Bishop, Kellie Bewley, Jeff Edmondson, Jeff Haigh, Jim Bouquin, Mike
Galindo, Chris Sheehan and Chuck Davidson. The meeting started at
7:05 p.m.
Discussions were as follows:
Jim spoke about the budget
and handed out reports. He wants up to keep our expenditures down and have
a contingency plan and some capital reserve.
Player fees were discussed
and voted on. There will be no volunteer fee or mandatory fundraising.
There was discussion about having the hit a thon be a fundraiser
but not mandatory.
We discussed having the
hit-a-thon and picture day on a separate day from Opening Day.
The player fee will be as
follows: $135.00 per player with the 4th one and up in each family being
free. A $20.00 discount will apply only to the first signup day.
T-ball will be $100.00 flat fee.
October 15th will be the
District 4 meeting and dinner. Parma Deli will be catering this event for
75 people consisting of Pasta, Salad, and Bread. The cost to us is
$570.00.
Players clinics will be
held prior to tryouts for all interested. Bob Morales will host and run
this event at the Mt. Diablo complex.
Dawn needs help with sponsorships
as she cannot continue this fulltime due to her change in job situation.
She is asking for a committee to help her this year. Kathy and Mary offered
to volunteer.
We need to know changes
in sponsorship prices and also which sponsors did not receive there plaques
from last year, 2002.
Last year for coaches training
we spent $4200.00.
October 17th will be an annual
membership meeting before our regular board meeting. Player agents meeting
will be the following week.
