CONCORD AMERICAN LITTLE LEAGUE
MINUTES FROM BOARD MEETING ON OCTOBER 17, 2002
HELD AT CONCORD HIGH SCHOOL, ROOM 210

In attendance: Mark Lloyd, Mary Bishop, Mike Galindo, Greg Lisle, Ken Colombo, Jim Bouquin, Jeff Haigh, Chris Sheehan, Kellie Bewley, Jeff Edmondson and Kathy Sheehan

Sponsor fees were discussed, Clayton Valleys are as follows: $250, $500, and $1000. Dawn will decide what will be best for us and get committee to start sending out requests.

Jim discussed our budget: Our balance right now is $3400 and we have no reserves. We need to be conservative and keep spending to a minimum as we have a cash flow problem at this time. It should get better after signups.

We are going to split flyers among the board members for school distribution. These flyers are for our upcoming signups.

Discussion on background checks for all volunteers for Little League were voted on and passed. Meghans law requires that everyone must fill out a form and be checked if they will be working with kids. We will have 3 officers in our league check these applications.

Sunday October 27th at 2pm we will meet at the Mt. Diablo Fields to pick up our flyers to distribute. If you cannot be there contact Mark for other arrangements.

The credit card machine will again be at signups to use for those who need it.

Snack shacks need to make some adjustments to increase revenue and profit.

Kellie asked for a satellite snack shack on the girls softball field to help with profits. Most people are going to 7/11 for snacks and drinks. A satellite would keep them from leaving and also benefit the league.

Board members will get new polo shirts but will pay for them, themselves instead of the league. Cost is $30 each.

New business: Paint needed for major score booth, dugouts need cleaning up and fixing, major and AAA infields by short stop need work, major bleachers need replacing.

No one showed for the membership meeting; regular meeting adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
