MINUTES FROM BOARD MEETING
ON NOVEMBER 21, 2002
HELD AT CONCORD HIGH
SCHOOL, ROOM 210
In attendance: Mark Lloyd,
Greg Lisle, Dick Stoddard, Ken Colombo, Jim Bouquin, Mary Bishop, Jeff
Edmondson, Jeff Haigh, Kellie Bewley, Kathy Sheehan
Mark wants all meetings
to be limited to 90 minutes from now on. No reason to run over that time
period. Send all adgenda items to Mary by the Sunday before each meeting.
We will host District 4 umpire
clinic on March 1st 2003.
Zany Brainy fundraiser on
December 9th at the Willows from 4-8 p.m. We will have our own cash register
and will make 10% of the sales for the league. This needs to be staffed.
Anyone that can help please contact Mark.
Greg will put together our
new safety manual.
Mike needs to provide us
with a work party schedule for the fields.
Leasing the snack shack to
a concession company at Mt. Diablo was discussed again. Kathy wants to
check other offers and ideas for revamping.
We will host a managers/coaches
clinic on February 9th. Cost will be approximately $2800.
The golf tournament netted
about $4000 for both our league and Clayton Valley so far. More money is
still due in. We will have a final count at the December 5th meeting.
Signup dates left: December
3rd, December 14th and January 4th, all at Eldorado Middle school.
Vice Presidents need to
schedule manager interviews the 1st two weeks of December.
Need to get a toilet back
at the Oliveira fields.
Need to solicit sponsors
and coaches in the next newsletter.
Permits for the practice
fields are ready. Mt Diablo and CHS have first rights to use before us.
C.A.L.L. can use all day
Sat. and Sun. and after 5pm during the week. Principals have final say.
Mike is trying to get lease and use permit questions cleared up. We have
to maintain the Mt. Diablo fields.
Mike needs to purchase a
rototiller for the fields, cost between $500 and $600. Also fields need
to be watered every week. Approval was given for the purchase.
